Seed crisp bread with dried sugar kelp

Make your very own seed crisp bread with the help of dried sugar kelp. Perfect to have at home in the pantry for everyday use or why use it together with a piece of cheese and some wine to spice up your Friday evening!


  • 2 dl dried sugar kelp
  • 1 dl oil (e.g. cooking oil)
  • 2 dl sunflower kernels
  • 2 dl pumpkin kernels
  • 1 dl flax seeds
  • 1 dl sesame seeds
  • 2 dl water
  • 500g durum wheat
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • Preheat the oven to 100 degrees
  • Soak the dried sugar kelp in a water bath for about 10 minutes
  • Meanwhile, mix the flour, seeds, pumpkin kernels and salt in a bowl
  • Add water so it becomes a dough mixture
  • Mix the soaked sugar kelp for a couple of minutes together with oil
  • Add the sugar kelp mix to the dough mixture and mix around
  • Roll out the mass of 2 plates 0.5 cm thick
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for two hours
  • Take out of the oven, let rest 10 minutes - ready to eat!
